AGLOCO Will Not Make Money Online! Ever!

[ Via Kumikos Cash Quest ] Recently I’ve been receiving an absolute plethora of e-mail and comments (100% rejected and unpublished) trying to entice me to sign up to AGLOCO.

Unless you’ve been living under an e-rock, you already know that AGLOGO is a new company that promises to make money for web surfers by displaying a VIEWBAR on the users screen that displays ads and other promotions. AGLOCO founders claim that income generated through these ads (for example, a commission from products purchased) will be returned to members. Furthermore, earnings can be increased by referring others to the program and the referral levels go about five deep.

Here is why I think there is absolutely no way that it will ever generate a decent income:

It’s Multi Level Marketing at it’s worst!! Whenever MLM receives bad reviews, a handful of people come out and claim that they’ve made fortunes from it. And I’m sure they have. The structure of MLM dictates that those lucky few at the top of the pyramid (scheme) should receive a large portion of any earnings. BUT, unless you are at the top of the pyramid, you can pretty much guarantee that your earnings will be next to nothing. So when John Chow comes out and says that he made $25,000 from the AllAdvantage program (whose founders are now starting AGLOCO), ask yourself how many others had earnings even close to this? And all the other supporters of MLM are those trying to reach the top of the pyramid - not unbiased reviewers.

The internet advertising market it saturated! There are already hundreds of advertising companies competing for space on our screens. Adsense, AdBrite, PayPerPost, Text Link Ads and many other advertising companies have already taken up a lot of advertising space on our computer screens and internet users have seen enough. Ad blindness is a real phenomenon where internet users are so used to seeing ads that they rarely take real notice of them anymore. Will another advertising system make users take notice? I doubt it. The AGLOCO system relies on users generating commissions to make money and I see no reason why users would make their purchases through AGLOCO rather any of the other established advertising systems (see point 3). They are not offering anything unique in terms of ads - just more ads!!

It failed before and it will fail again! There are no noticeable or relevant differences between AGLOCO and the failed AllAdvantage program. Supporters of AGLOCO claim that better targeting technology and affiliate models exist today and this is what makes it different to AllAdvantage. Will this increase earnings? I doubt it. Since the AllAdvantage days, targeted ad programs like Adsense, the Amazon Affiliates program and Commission Junction have cornered the targeted ad market. These programs are already displaying targeted ads to web surfers and generating income. AGLOCO will be competing with these programs so it is doubtful that AGLOCO will experience even the same level of success as AllAdvantage. Considering that AllAdvantage went bust, the future for AGLOCO is very bleak indeed.

Do the maths! AllAdvantage achieved 10 million members in it’s first 18 months and when it closed it’s doors after 2 years, it had paid out 120 million dollars to it’s members. That means that the average payout was less than $12! This site makes more than that in a week! And considering that there will be major internet players like John Chow earning $25,000 and having over 4,000 referrals, the average payout for the average internet user would much less than $12!

Don’t believe the hype! Supporters also claim that AGLOCO is a solid venture as the team behind it includes a whopping eight Stanford MBA holders. Do you know who Kenneth Lay was? He’s not involved in AGLOCO as he was the CEO of Enron and was indicted by a grand jury on 11 counts of securities fraud and related charges - and he was also the Stanford Business School Alumni Association’s Houston Business Man of the Year. I am not saying anything negative against Stanford MBA holders - just that having an MBA does not automatically lend surefire 100% credibility to the programs.

Remember too that despite the hype, the program has not launched yet and the VIEWBAR is still being developed. Supporters would be better off spending their time setting up an online business rather than e-mailing me to join AGLOCO! [ Via Kumikos Cash Quest ]
