Myrimis’ Location-Based Network Now Free
Posted in: UncategorizedNanomatic, a nanotechnology company, is opening up Myrimis, a location-based network, for free.
Myrimis operates on Nanomatic’s nanonavi, which lets you keep track of all the things in your live using GPS. In this way, you can see in real time where your friends and family members are, if your alarm system is activated, where your wife’s car is… you get the idea. This network can also be used for social reasons, like geo-tagging and mapping images for various events–around town or on vacation.
The system is currently only available for those that use the Nokia Symbian S60 phones, and you’ll of course have a lot of initial set up to go through in order to outfit your cars and other assets with GPS technology. This system is best used for family networks and personal management tool. Now that this service is free, it will be that much more appealing to potential users. Once the gap closes between GPS devices and systems such as Myrimis will be easier to use and more practically implemented. Sprint is another mobile network offering a GPS network.
