Asklaila.com Secures $10 Million in Second Round Funding

India-based asklalila secures $10 million USD in second round of funding.

The information site, asklalia, was successful in its series B funding drive. The new round of capital was secured from Lightspeed Venture Partners as well as SVB India Capital Partners and the existing investor, Matrix Partners India. Funding is planned to be used to expand their operations of its service across the country.

More than just a local search, asklalia also allows its users to review local services and businesses. As well as providing editorials in conjunction with the user generated reviews, the site also features tools such as proximity search and SMS.

With the growing economy that India is currently enjoying, coupled with their increase in telephony use, there is a growing demand for information about restaurants and other services. The infusion of $10 million will allow the company to expand past their current user boundaries, and eventually cover the whole of India.
