MyTrybe Launches Recommendation Platform
Posted in: 1
MyTrybe, a social network built around meeting other people who share interests and other similarities, has launched a new system today to help site owners find people all across the MyTrybe network. It’s called Powered by MyTrybe.
With the addition of this new feature, MyTrybe can now be used on a multitude of sites, allowing people to continue their rating frenzy where ever they go. As this new system can be used on most any site, it opens such unique destinations up to a potentially much larger pool of friends and followers, recommended through the MyTrybe engine. And with an expanded content and user pool, it should help narrow down the odds of helping users discover likeminded people.

If webmasters are wondering what they gain from adding this to their sites, there is some good news. Every site that uses the new platform will get cross-promoted on other sites using their system. So you could reap a reward of increased traffic to your site as more and more people discover new things through the network.
MyTrybe originally launched back in early February, and already they are trying to spread their influence to third party sites. That’s good to see. As the site is built around the idea of finding people with similar interests to you and forming your “trybe”, the more content you have access to rating, the better.mashable109:http://mashable.com/2008/05/18/powered-by-mytrybe/
