SnapCasa: Quick, Free Website Screenshots

In my profession, screenshots are like ketchup on fries. Sure, you don’t need ‘em, but they both add so much flavor!

The latest service to tingle my taste buds is SnapCasa, a free website thumbnail provider that retrieves screenshots without delay or hassle. All you need is the website’s URL and SnapCasa immediately uploads a screenshot of the site in four sizes which are then free for you to use whichever way you’d like.

There are many different ways to take screenshots of your desktop or web browser, like using ScrnShots, but I gave SnapCasa a test run and it has proven to be very reliable. It’s server uptime is 99.9% which means that the screenshots appear instantly. It worked great with popular websites, but it did, however, take a while to upload thumbnails of small blog URL’s.

The site will soon feature a low cost service for users who want to upgrade to premium features including the ability to capture a screenshot at any size, choosing the format and compression of an image, and getting real-time screenshots.
